The Operations Administrative Assistant handles various facets of our risk and safety program as indicated in the performance of the following job duties. This position requires excellent financial and data management skills, research capabilities and interest to learn and stay abreast of insurance program needs. Moreover, this position requires attention to detail, collaboration with risk consultants, workers’ compensation team members, compliance and finance departments.

WHAT DOES THE RISK MANAGEMENT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT DO?
- Prepares and distributes Certificates of Insurance for Workers’ Compensation Insurance as requested by clients and staff.
- Communicates, Reviews, and Maintains Workers’ Compensation (WC) insurance policy documentation. Audit policies to ensure timely and accurate changes are completed by the WC carrier, update internal system with policy information.
- Completes monthly reporting to WC carrier for initiation and termination of PEO clients / employees.
- Coordinates monthly client location additions/deletions for workers’ compensation poster distribution with WC carrier.
- Performs EMR (Experience Modification Rate) calculations as requested.
- Maintains database to ensure proper allocation of employee’s hours to worksite locations for accurate OSHA recordkeeping.
- Prepares and issues OSHA forms annually to clients.
- Conducts follow-up activities for workers’ compensation claims including obtaining medical records; distributing medical invoices to the appropriate carrier; drafting modified duty offers; addressing subpoena requests; et al.
- Provides additional administrative support as needed to the operation teams.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum of an associate degree with 2+ years administrative experience.
- Knowledge of workers’ compensation insurance or casualty / property insurances preferred.
- Experience in MS Office.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
