Job Description:
As a Junior Autocad Drafter you will be responsible for assisting in creating shop drawings that
will be used for installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and Design: Create detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD.
- Documentation: Prepare and update drawings, submittals, and any other AHJ required documentation as required.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to understand project requirements and incorporate necessary changes into drawings.
- Work closely with our permitting team to get projects completed and permitting in a timely manner.
- Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations inthe creation of drawings and designs.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on drafted drawings to verify accuracy, completeness,and adherence to project requirements.
- File Management: Organize and maintain electronic and physical files, including drawings, plans, and related documentation, in a well-structured and easily accessible manner.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members to clarify requirements, provideprogress updates, and seek guidance when needed.
- Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD features, Codes, techniques, and industry trends to enhance drafting skills and improve efficiency.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- AutoCAD Proficiency: Strong knowledge and experience in AutoCAD software for creating2D -1 year working CAD experience is required.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with drafting principles, standards, and practices. Ability to interprettechnical drawings and specifications.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment, take direction, and contribute to project goals.
- Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a hybrid environment.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, software, and industry standards as required.
