SUMMARY
The AMS & ISF Coordinator is fully committed to providing the highest possible standards of customer service and support. Ensures that the filing of all AMS and Importer Security transactions are done timely and compliant. Assists the normal operating procedures with the printing, tracing, organizing and filing of the AMS/ISF and shipment documentation.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Essential Duties and Accountabilities include the following. Other duties and projects may be assigned.
ISF Filing
•Review documentation and ensure that information is received on time and accurately.
•Printing, file opening, tracing of shipment documentation
•Assist FRT and CHB departments with filing of the Import Secure Filing (ISF)
•ISF single transaction bond filing.
Insurance
•Issue Insurance Certificates.
•Process all insurance claims.
•Create and update reports for all open insurance claims for the Warehouse, CHB, Import and Export departments, and clients.
•Provide clients with accurate information pertaining to their insurance claims.
AMS Filing
•Automated Manifest System (AMS) filing for client shipments.
General Administrative Tasks
•Process additional import documentation when required such as Permit to Transfer.
•Verification and follow-up with client for continuous bond renewals and invoicing; update Bond rider for address or name changes; update Automated Broker Interface (ABI) query and IES system.
•Assist and resolve issues with clients.
•Utilizes company software programs (IES, Outlook, Excel, Word) to perform duties and responsibilities as required by position and SOP.
•Read, use and be familiar with computer system manuals and procedure.
•Performs all other assigned duties assigned by management.
Concierge Service
• Manages difficult or emotional customer situations.
• Responds promptly to customer needs.
• Solicits customer feedback to improve service.
• Responds to requests for service and assistance.
• Meets commitments.
• Provides service beyond expectation as per company philosophy and training.
Safety Responsibilities
• Report safety hazards
• Immediately report incidents involving injury, illness, or property damage
• Wear protective PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as instructed or necessary
• Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and rules
• Refuse any unsafe task or operation
• Participate in safety meetings and training
• Be constantly aware of their personal safety and that of their coworkers

• Knowledgeable in the process of shipment coordination and trucking companies, airlines, steamship lines, ports, and warehouses.

• Good planning and organizational skills.
• Attend to high volume incoming phone calls & emails, extensive follow-up and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
