Position Title: BAS Engineer  

Job Description Support BAS Engineer  
 
We are looking for a position of engineer assistance and support for the design and delivery of the control submittals package. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent to be trained for this position. 

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Application engineering of systems we sell to match the project plans and specifications or proposal requirements of our projects. 
  • Conducts take-offs from Electrical and/or mechanical prints/specifications  
  • Review HVAC and other trades submittals and technical information to produce Controls Submittals for Contruction. 
  • Ability to interpret and prepare circuit diagrams, technical specifications, drawings and reports and generally to communicate effectively, in writing and face-to-face. 
  • Design and Projects Controls Submittals and Coordination Drawings for Installations. 
  • Product selection and application. Materials and Parts selection. 
This position will be 90% or more focused on design, drawing, material selection and creation of Controls Submittals and Drawings, But the following responsibilities will be also required upon request: 
  • Conducting Project walk-throughs in order to view existing components and recommend functional replacements. 
  • Provide programming and engineering support, basic troubleshooting of machining and assembly issues and tool & fixture design support for current production operations. 
  • Assist the sales teams in proposing solutions to problems that our customers need to solve as it relates to HVAC systems and the related building functions.  
  • Possible assistance in project management of systems in post design stage if that is of interest to the candidate. 
 
Minimum Required Basic Qualifications:  
  • Bachelor’s degree and applicable certification(s). 
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience. 
  • Experience in CAD or VISIO. 
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use company software Industry experience in multi-vendor DDC control products and communication protocols.  
  • Knowledge of multi-vendor DDC control products & communication protocols. 
  • Niagara, Alerton, ABB Cylon, Distech, Delta, JCI, Trane, etc. Certification preferred but not required.
